Dear Parents & Students,
This Curriculum Guide provides academic course descriptions, course benchmarks, and other pertinent information to course selection and individual class schedules. Each student is encouraged to review and discuss these course offerings with parents/guardians. While the majority of the courses contained in this Curriculum Guide are offered annually, it should be noted that some may not be scheduled due to insufficient enrollment or scheduling limitations. Others may be limited in enrollment and therefore closed to new enrollments. Students at Bettendorf High School enjoy the benefit of significant cooperation between our school, Scott Community College, and Pleasant Valley High School. If there is a course you are interested in taking but is unavailable at our high school, please meet with a counselor and efforts will be made to determine if the opportunity exists with other educational institutions.
I sincerely hope that you will strive for academic excellence, a long tradition at Bettendorf High School. Choosing appropriate and challenging courses will prepare you well for the challenges and the opportunities which await you beyond high school. You have my best wishes as you seek to achieve your educational goals and future objectives.
