The Bulldog Way
Bettendorf High School has changed the daily bell schedule for the 2016-2017 school year to provide more opportunities for students to receive support, enrichment and other learning opportunities. The new bell schedule will include PRIDE Time which was developed from a foundation of the following attributes: POISE, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DETERMINATION, and EXCELLENCE. This effort is to provide a multi-tiered system of support, during the school day, for all students enabling collaboration with teachers on current course work, participation in enrichment activities, access to academic support, or other services provided by staff and community. Students can choose their activity unless teachers have required them to attend for academic success.
“Having grace and balance in a well-mannered way”
“Taking pride in oneself, others and surroundings”
“Doing the right thing even when nobody is watching; living with conscience not by impulse”
“Passion and purpose to keep moving forward even when you first don’t succeed”
“Constant pursuit to perform beyond expectations”
All students are expected to attend PRIDE Time every day. If a student is unexcused during PRIDE Time, participation in after school sponsored activities will not be allowed on that day.
