Costa Rica 2016: BHS Spanish Students Immersed in Culture, Language, and Nature

Profesores Rojas, Bonnstetter, and Hopkins accompanied 29 BHS Spanish students to Costa Rica June 15-25, 2016 on an educational adventure. They spent time in school interacting with local teenagers, explored the rainforest, hiked at the base of volcanoes, zip-lined through a cloud forest, white-water rafted down a jungle river, and searched for wildlife in the treetops on a series of hanging bridges.

Due to its rich culture, natural beauty, and economic and political stability, BHS Spanish teachers have chosen Costa Rica as their preferred destination for student travel. In addition to the large-group educational tour, BHS also offers an exchange program experience in partnership with a Costa Rican high school.
