The Bettendorf boys and the Clinton girls were the first-place winners for best overall sportsmanship during the 2015-16 school year in the Mississippi Athletic Conference, as judged by game officials. The awards have been sponsored by area Rotary clubs since 1999.

First-place winners for spring and summer boys' sports were Davenport West for soccer, and Davenport Central, Davenport North and Clinton in a three-way tie for baseball.

First-place award winners for spring and summer girls' sports were Davenport Central, Clinton, North Scott and Davenport West in a four-way tie for first in soccer, and eight schools tied for first in softball: Assumption, Davenport Central, Clinton, Davenport North, North Scott, Pleasant Valley and Davenport West.

The awards are based on ratings turned in after each contest by game officials who evaluate the conduct of athletes, coaches, student fans and adult fans for boys' sports, and athletes, coaches and fans for girls' sports.
