Career and Technical Education (CTE) helps prepare students for college and careers. This year, Bettendorf High School students enrolled in 26 different classes within Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Industrial Technology. The programs provide students the latest technology and skills that will prepare them to become successful employees and future leaders.
“A key component to the success of CTE programs is that students can find connections between their academic coursework and their career goals.”
Kristy Cleppe, BHS Associate Principal
CTE puts equal emphasis on academics and career training making high school a relevant and engaging experience for students. College and career readiness requires both knowledge and skills. Career and Technical Education (CTE) not only teaches skills for specific career fields, it also teaches skills for life. BHS Business, Family and Consumer Science, and Industrial Technology teachers work closely with industry leaders to continually strengthen the school’s CTE programs.
