Last Thursday the girls cross country team had 18 personal bests and 8 season bests at the Cedar Rapids Invitational. Leading the way for varsity was Senior Trinity Borland with a 3rd place finish.

The sophomore group was led by freshmen medalists, Sarah Schmitt and Sammy Foht. The JV team had top finishes by Mackenzie Rice and Lexie Williams.

Stuco Pub Announcement: Hey BHS! This year's Homecoming parade is on Thursday, September 28th. If you and your club are interested in walking in this year’s Homecoming Parade, contact student council at studentcouncil@bettendorf.k12.ia.us or see Mrs. Hansen in room D313. Also, if you have a convertible we could use in the parade, or are interested in driving a convertible in the parade, contact student council at studentcouncil@bettendorf.k12.ia.us.

Students who are interested in joining Best Buddies should submit their membership application by 09/13! Students wanting to be a Peer buddy must sign up for an interview time on the signup sheet, located on Mr. Hamann's door! If you have any questions email Mr. Hamann or Emily Kidwell!

Are you interested in working with other students, serving your community and helping our environment? Come check out S.A.V.E and Peer Educators club at our first meeting after school on Monday September 11, in room C300. Mrs. Sharp's room.

Reminder FBLA members- the next meeting is NEXT Friday- September 15th! Scratch Cupcake packets are in- stop by and get yours. All Conference forms and money for the Fall Conference are due by next Thursday September 14th.

German Club will meet Monday, September 11th after school in D270. If you are interested in an officer position this year, please email Frau Steiner by Monday lunchtime to get on the ballot. Bring your t-shirt ideas and we will round out the afternoon with some games.

Scholastic Bowl meets Tuesday, September 12, after school in Ms. Conrad's room, D268

The Speech and Debate Team will be having their New Student/Parent Meeting on Monday, Sept. 11th at 6:30pm in the Commons. The meeting will cover how to sign up for tournaments, travel arrangements, and additional team guidelines. All new members and their guardians should attend.

Grab n’ Go will be closed Monday, September 11 for lunch.

If you are planning on bringing a student from another school to homecoming, please pick up a form to fill out from the Main Office this week!

Harry Potter club will have its first meeting on Thursday, September 14th in Mrs. Sharp's room, C300. All are welcome! Contact Elise Kalin or Mrs. Sharp for more details
