The National Youth Science Camp is seeking two Iowa high school seniors to attend the National Youth Science Camp this summer in the mountains of West Virginia and visit Washington, D.C. to exchange ideas with scientists and other professionals from academic, governmental and corporate worlds. This camp includes lectures, overnight outdoor trips into the Monongahela National Forecast, and a trip to Washington, D.C. The students meet scientists and students from across the nation and experience hands-on research projects as part of this life-changing program. Learn more and apply at http://apply.nysc.org. If anyone donated blood for the first time at the BHS blood drive last week and did not get a T-shirt, please see Ms. Hansen in room D313 during passing time, before or after school to pick up a free t-shirt! First come first served. Thanks for your donations - we collected 84 units of blood which will benefit 300 patients!
Congratulations to the UBett Robotics team! They came in 1st place in their Qualifying matches last Saturday, came in 3rd place for the Inspire Award, and are headed to the state competition. UBett Robotics will be competing in the Iowa State Championship in Coralville next week, so make sure to check out their twitter feed @ubettrobotics and cheer them on!
