BHS Community Service Week May 1-4

This week is Community Service Week!!!!!!!

Starting on Tuesday, Bettendorf Student Council will be hosting community service events for the whole school to participate in to help our local area. Tuesday, May 1st is our kick off! We will be creating “Fleeces for the Furry” by making tie blankets in Ms. Hesse’s Pride, room C366, which will be donated to the Quad Cities Animal Aid Humane Society. Also on Tuesday is the Bett vs PV Soccer Double Header at 5:15 PM at PV Stadium, we will be collecting canned goods and drinks to be delivered to The Place 2 B in Rock Island, Illinois (a homeless shelter for teens). On Wednesday, May 2nd, “Every Birthday Matters” will be at 7:45 am in the High School commons. Here, we will make birthday boxes for King’s Harvest Homeless Shelter. Going into Thursday, May 3rd, “Postage for Patients” will take place in Mrs. Hansen’s Pride, room D313. In this event, we will be making cards for Trinity Hospital patients. Finally, on Friday, May 4th at 3:45 pm, we will be cleaning up Crow Creek Park. Please meet at the main entrance front parking lot!
