Did you know that donating blood can help a child survive cancer? September is childhood cancer awareness month, and on Tuesday September 18th the Mississippi Valley Blood Center will be at BHS from 11:00 - 3:00 to run a blood drive. Find an NHS student to sign up, go to the Attendance Office or Health Center, or contact Mrs. Farmer. You need to be at least 16 years old to donate blood, and 16 year olds need to get a parental consent form signed. We need you, so please sign up today!

Underclassmen: Picture day is coming up and we have portrait packets available in the Main Office. Dates: Sept. 24 & 25

Bus drivers will begin checking students for bus passes on Monday, September 17. Please make sure you have your bus pass activated on your ID if you are riding the bus. If you do not have a bus pass activated, stop by the Activities Office to inquire.

Congratulations to the girls swim and dive team for their win over Dubuque Senior last night. The diving team was led my Makayla Hughbanks who had a season high score of 216.40. The girls travel to Iowa City tomorrow (9/15) for the Mercer Invite.

If you ordered a rise as one football t-shirt they are finally in. Stop in the commons between 1:30 - 3pm Today to pick yours up

Returning RSVP members need to sign up for Mrs. Koepnick's PRIDE on Tuesday (9/18) for a meeting in the cafeteria.

Anyone new interested in joining RSVP should attend the new member meeting at either 7:45 am on Thursday (9/20) in Mrs. Koepnick's room (C371) or during PRIDE on 9/20 in the cafeteria.

Sign up will begin Monday, September 17th for Juniors only for the PSAT, which will be given Wednesday, October 10th.

Sign up begins Thursday, September 24th for Sophomores for the PSAT. The last day to sign up is Friday, September 28th. The cost is $16, payable by CHECK ONLY, made out to BHS. See Mrs. Henson in Student Services for sign-up, payment, and an instruction/practice booklet.

There will be a French Conversation Table this Friday (9/14) from 5-6pm at Coffee Hound in Bettendorf. French speakers of all levels are welcome to attend!

Bettendorf High School students wishing to invite a non-BHS student to attend the Homecoming Dance must complete a guest form which is available in the Activities Office. These will be due next Wednesday, September 19th.
