This Thursday, October 11th, we will have The Doctor is In PRIDES session. This is for all students that have an interest in the Health Services Career Cluster. The University of Iowa Medical students are going to do an interactive presentation on the relationship between taste and smell starting with a brief introduction to the cranial nerves and a brief overview of sensory physiology. Spots are limited so sign up for this PRIDE session now!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet tonight (10/8) at 6:00 pm at Assumption High School for "Fields of Faith." Join us for a night of music and sharing with FCA huddles from other Quad City schools. Bring along friends, blankets and snacks to share.

Freshman, this is a reminder that you should be a using your planners on a daily basis. This means you should be bringing your planner to every class and actively recording your assignments.

All boys interested in joining the boys swimming team this winter need to come to a swimmer/parent meeting Tuesday night (10/9) at 6 pm in the cafeteria.

Congratulations to 4A State Champion Golfer, Matthew Garside!! Matthew competed individually at the state golf tournament this weekend at Brown Deer in Coralville. He shot a 6 under par 65 to win the tournament by 3 strokes. Check out his round on @Bettgolf twitter. The tournament was cancelled on Saturday due to flooding and weather. Matthew's performance marks only the 3rd time Bettendorf has produced an individual state golf champion. Matthew plans to play golf at University of Iowa next fall.

German club will meet after school today (10/8) to plan our bowling outing later this week. Please attend if you intend to go bowling on Friday.

Congratulations to the Speech and Debate Team for their performance at this weekend's Des Moines Roosevelt tournament. The following students return with trophies:

Noah Rantilla - 1st Place in LD Debate

The Speech and Debate Team will be meeting briefly after school today (10/8) to talk about this weekend's Des Moines North tournament. Good luck!

Tuesday (10/9) during PRIDE is this week's College Visit Day. The following schools will have representatives here that can give you more information on each school and answer your questions! Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville, Illinois Wesleyan University, Capri College, University of Dubuque and Grinnell College.

LGBTQ+ will be meeting after school in D265. All are well in hang out.
