BHS Students Selected for All-State Festival Concert - Nov. 17

The 2018 All-State Festival is celebrating its 72nd anniversary this year. District Auditions for the 281-piece All-State Band, 201-piece All-State Orchestra, and 601-member All-State Chorus were held October 20, 2018, at Storm Lake, Hampton, Independence, Atlantic, Indianola and Washington. Approximately 17% of the students who audition are selected for membership in the All-State ensembles. Participants will rehearse in Ames on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18. The festival concert will be presented to the public at 7:30 pm in Hilton Coliseum, Iowa State University, Ames, on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Iowa Public Television will record the concert for re-broadcast.

The following Bettendorf High School students attained the highest individual honor available to Iowa high school music by being select as members of the following 2018 All-State ensemble:

All-State Band

  • Dan Wilkinson - clarinet (alternate)
