Are you interested in CHOIR for the 2019-2020 school year? BHS has four different choir classes and if you are currently a freshman-junior you can audition to be in Women's Chorale or Concert Choir (regardless of whether you have been in choir before). All students if you’ve ever wanted to learn about filmmaking… now’s your chance! Fresh Films is a youth film program located on the campus of Augustana College. This Spring, students are invited to apply to be part of their film crew and help create a video & PSA for a local non-profit organization. You'll learn all about cameras, audio, and lighting while creating an uplifting story about a Quad City organization that positively impacts the community. Gilda’s Club is having an essay contest for 11th and 12th grade students who have been affected by having cancer or having a loved one with cancer. They are offering two, $1,000 awards to be granted to students who demonstrate an authentic ability to move readers by sharing their experience with cancer. For the first time ever, Bettendorf students will have the chance to face off against Pleasant Valley students in a sand volleyball tournament to determine the winner of the first ever Bett Valley Rally. The Bett Valley Rally will take place on Saturday, February 9th from 6-8 p.m. at the BettPlex. It is $10 per person and you can create a team of up to 7 people.
