On November 2nd the Bettendorf High School Competition Cheerleading squads attended the Iowa Cheerleading Coaches Association State Cheerleading Championships. The BHS Coed Cheer & Dance Squad took first in their division and the BHS Time-Out Squad took sixth. The event took place at the State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, schools from all over the state compete. The competition squads are coached by Tanya Gilmore, Jillian Knott & Haley Brock.

Prior to this event, on Oct. 20th the squads attended a regional event, the Spartan Challenge in Dubuque, Iowa. The Co-Ed Cheer & Dance squad took second in their division and the Time-out squad was grand champion of the Time-Out division.
