Students wishing to be eligible for the lottery drawing to the football game on Friday should sign up using the link in your BettNews by 11:59 PM TONIGHT.

The Homecoming King and Queen ballot will open at 1:00 pm and will close at 2:00 pm on Thursday. Please make sure you are logged in to your school email account so the ballot will open for you.

Any students interested in Best Buddies please come to an informational meeting on September 17th at 7:50 am in C102 for "A" group and on Friday, September 18 at 7:50 am in C102 for "B" group. You can also grab information from the bulletin board outside of the cafeteria!

The first FCCLA meeting will be this Friday, September 18th in the PAC at 7:30 am. There is a $10 fee to join. Everyone in any cohort is welcome to come. Enter through the main doors. Contact Ms. Kieffer with any questions.

The homecoming pep assembly is this Thursday at 6:30 pm at TouVelle Stadium. Watch homecoming court, band, cheer, and gold dusters perform! Please bring a student ID and a mask.

Every two seconds in the United States, someone needs blood. You can do your part by donating blood right here at BHS next week! The Mississippi Valley Blood Center Mobile Bus will be here on September 22nd and September 24th. Find a NHS or STUCO member or email Mrs. Hoyt to sign up to donate for the day your cohort is not in the building.

French Club meets Thursday, September 17th after school in Ms. Conrad's room, D268, for a French language film.

German Club will meet after school on Thursday, September 17th for Cohort A students.

The boys tennis meeting has been changed to next Thursday, 9/24 after school in the Commons.

September is Suicide Prevention Month. Do you want to talk about how to prevent suicides in our Community? Sign up for Student Services “Preventing Suicide” Pride sessions offered Thursday this week.

Bettendorf's Ping Pong Club is back! We meet on Wednesdays at 3:20 in Mr. Schmertman's room. Both cohorts can meet and all skill levels are welcome.

If you were in Eng 10 last year, please bring back your copy of Lord of the Flies. We are still missing several copies of Lord of the Flies that need returned.

Boys and Girls cross country dominated the Lancer Invite Tuesday night, winning all four Varsity and JV team titles. The JV girls kicked off the night by taking the top six places. Junior Amanda Scott claimed the victory and was followed by: Izzy Appel, Sarah Scmidt, Kate McAleer, Madison McClean and Abby Gamble. In the varsity race, Freshman Emily See and Senior Sami Foht placed third and fourth. Junior Hannah Bientema led the way, recording her second victory in as many races. Bettendorf boys varsity scoring was led by a third place finish from Senior Nick Moore. The freshmen duo of Chase Wakefield and Kaiden VanderWeele took first and second place to lead the JV race. Great job Bulldogs!
