Students interested in film-making- this announcement is for you! FreshFilms is a local film production company and training ground for youth working in the entertainment industry.Through a virtual FreshFilms program, you will become a better writer, storyteller, communicator, and expand your film and editing skills. You’ll collaborate with fellow young filmmakers across the country as you build your documentary and narrative film production skills. Also adding 5-8 pieces of content to your portfolio! Interested in competing in the National History Day competition? Sign up for Mrs. Heeringa's PRIDE today or Friday for information on this year's contest.

Cohort B, sign up for Mr. Mesick's PRIDE on Friday in room C302 to learn about the Biobus at Iowa State. BHS graduate and current ISU Junior, Luke Soko, will be presenting via Zoom about this unique bus, which uses reclaimed vegetable oil turned into biodiesel to drive students around campus. Cohort A & On-line Academy students interested in participating in the Zoom should email Mr. Mesick for the Zoom link.

Our new PRIDE Tickets arrived! If you receive a ticket for showing PRIDE, don't forget to turn it in for a chance to win this week's drawing. There are six locations around the building: Commons, E locker bay, B locker bay, upper and lower D locker bay and the cafeteria. We will announce the winner during PRIDE today and Friday.

October is LGBT history month. A time to acknowledge and celebrate the people from the LGBTQ community who have shaped the world we live in. National Coming Out Day is a day to offer support and hope for those who come out as LGBTQ and for those who choose or are not able to come out yet. Traditionally, Coming Out Day is observed on October 11, this year we want to show our support for Coming Out Day today and Friday. You can show your support by wearing a rainbow ribbon or changing your profile on social media.
