Great news coming out of state swimming and diving this past weekend. Mikayla Hughbanks took first place in diving. Teammate Sydney Hanson placed third in diving as well.

Attention all Seniors, today there will be a mandatory meeting in the PAC during PRIDE. The meeting will only be about 15 minutes. All 100% online seniors you will be sent this information through your canvas shell or email.

Seniors planning on attending a tech school- there are scholarships available for you! This week Student Services is highlighting a scholarship for students interested in studying automotive technology! The Quad City Community Foundation plans to award students from our area with tuition money. If that's your plan, stop in Student Services and see Mrs. Hoyt for more information.

Student Council will be hosting a Food Drop off on Saturday, November 21st from 10-2. We will be accepting non-perishable food items at the main entrance of BHS. All donations will go to the Riverbend Food Bank. Please ask a student council advisor if you have any other questions!

This week is Iowa College Application Week. Many colleges throughout the nation are offering FREE APPLICATIONS for this week only! Seniors- now is the time to apply! Find out more information here:

BVM is hosting a movie night on Friday, November 20th at 7pm in the PAC. They will be showing Just Mercy starring Michael B. Jordan. Admission is free and we hope to see you there!

There are still spots available to donate at this week's BHS Blood Drive!

Mrs. Hoyt has an important message for seniors planning on attending college next year- find it here!

German Club will meet today after school. We will be making lanterns for St. Martin's Day (German Halloween). Please bring a small empty cardboard container such as an oatmeal canister, cereal box, etc to decorate.

French Club will meet this Thursday and this Friday after school in Ms. Piasecki's room, D268

Congratulations to our BHS swim team who finished 9th at the state meet with the following outcomes:

  • Alyssa Witt and Riley Wehr and freshmen Abby and Mary Selden took sixth in 400 freestyle relay.
  • Mary Selden 10th in the 200 freestyle and 11th in the 100 freestyle.
  • Alyssa Witt finished 15th in the 100 butterfly
  • Alyssa Witt, Valerie Gutierrez, Ella Zillmer and Mary Selden placed 16th in the 200 freestyle relay.
  • Congratulations to all of these athletes.
