Earn a National Community Service Award for your impact and distinguish yourself when applying for college, jobs, and scholarships. The Bettendorf High School Hunger Drive is underway until March 5th. The River Bend Foodbank is in need of donations now more than ever. To make a donation, please click this link and/or donate to your first block class!

Each semester, students interested in or considering joining the military have the opportunity to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB, a test required to enlist. All students considering military enlistment are encouraged to take this test on March 29th at 9am at Pleasant Valley High School. Seniors who are in need of a service hour should sign up for Mrs. Zimmerman's PRIDE Tomorrow. You will be helping SELL Crew members by putting together birthday treats for freshmen. See Mrs. Zimmerman if you have questions.

German Club will be next Monday, March 8th, after school in room D272. We will be watching a movie.

French Club meets Tomorrow after school in D268, Ms. Piasecki's room. We will be playing the board game Carcassonne and also "Pin the magnet on the donkey."

March Madness Sign Ups are now in activities! Sign ups are due March 12 to the activities office. $5 a person, all proceeds go to the class of 2022 prom.

The March Mammal Madness bracket has dropped!! Stop by Mrs Hansen's room (D313) to pick up an official bracket to participate. March Mammal Madness is an alternate to the March Madness tournament focusing on simulated combat between animals, instead of college basketball. The bracket is run by a team of biologists, using science and probability to determine the outcomes of the battles. Brackets are due to Mrs. Hansen by next Monday, March 8th! Sign up for her PRIDE this Thursday or Friday to get more info and begin scouting the competitors. More info on twitter #2021MMM. Last year’s top 3 BHS winners were Ethan Thompson, Jaz Patel, and Oliver Bakeries with the Gorilla reigning supreme!

Do you enjoy watching or listening to murder mysteries and then trying to solve them? If you are interested in criminology or forensics, the new Murder Mystery Club is being offered on Fridays during PRIDE in Mrs. Rowland's room D317. Come join us!

Are you interested in playing D and D or other table-top RPGs? Are you interested in playing Magic or any other card game or board game? Then come to the library after school on Monday, March 8th to meet with Mr. Bannerman and Mr. Andresen and discuss the resurrection of the Bett D and D Club.

Do you enjoy wings? If so, go to Buffalo Wild Wings this Wednesday, March 10th to support the Hunger Drive. Make sure you mention Bettendorf or show the flyer which can be picked up in the Activities Office.

Girls tennis will have a meeting on Monday, March 8th at 4:00 p.m. for everyone planning on playing this spring. We will meet at the outdoor courts & wear your masks”. We will not have conditioning that day

The Growl is accepting student essay submissions for a segment called "In their own words" which celebrates students' right to free expression. The Growl supports the right to free expression for all students who wish to share their thoughts and opinions on matters that are important to them.
